Peter Schofield’s radio career began in Los Angeles, but he jumped at the chance to move to the Bay Area and take a position as News Director for a radio group based in Contra Costa County. His on air experience also includes stints in Chico and in Minneapolis, where he worked as a news anchor, reporter and talk show host on WCCO.
After returning to California from Minnesota, he went to work doing traffic reports on CBS-owned KNX, Los Angeles. Now being hooked on traffic, he took the opportunity to move back to San Francisco as an airborne traffic reporter for KCBS Radio. He held this position for 12 years. He then started his own company providing the planes and pilots for the CBS airborne reporters in San Francisco and Dallas. He has now returned to KCBS Radio and considers it a great privilege to be working again with such a talented and dedicated team.
Peter attended Pasadena City College and completed the legal studies program at UC Berkeley, where he earned his California paralegal certification. He served in the California Air National Guard, where he received an Honorable Discharge.
